I’m a graduate of University of Texas Medical Branch, School of Allied Health Sciences with a degree in occupational therapy. I have been practicing in the field of Occupational Therapy for the past eighteen years. I started out working with adults with neurological problems such as brain tumors, spinal cord injuries, and strokes. I transferred that foundational knowledge in neurology to begin working with children with cerebral palsy, developemental delays, and other neurological conditions. I've worked in outpatient clinic settings in addition to be a school occupational therapist. I’ve had extensive trainingin sensory integration disorders as well as sensory processing disordersrelated to ASD. In the past, my passion centered around working with children with ASD, treating their sensory integration disorders. As I became more experienced, I realized that even though sensory modulation, regulation, and integration could improve significantly, there was still something missing. I found that missing piece in the RDI Program.
I currently offer traditional occupational therapy services in addition to the RDI® program. As a consumer, it is important to know what training and continuing
education your therapist has received. I'm listing the courses I've
attended in the past 5-6 years so you will know what areas I have
specialized in.
